The wood chipper’s operating process is quite straightforward. Logs, branches, or strips are fed into the chipping chamber via a hydraulic feed system. This hydraulic system automatically adjusts the opening and closing of the feed rollers based on the wood’s thickness, firmly gripping the wood and forcing it into the chamber to prevent it from slipping or backing out.

Once in the chipping chamber, the rotor cutter drum begins rotating at high speed. Multiple specially designed flying knives are mounted on the cutter drum. These knives are secured with high-strength bolts and a clamping mechanism to prevent them from shifting during operation, ensuring stable and safe cutting.

Both the flying knives and the fixed knives undergo a special heat treatment process, resulting in sharp, wear-resistant edges that produce uniform 20-40mm chips. If different chip sizes are required, the screen can be replaced or customized. The cutter drum maintains a balanced operation during cutting, thanks to dynamic balancing, which effectively reduces noise and vibration, ensuring the machine remains stable and durable even at high speeds.
