How to Make Lucerne Pellets
To understand how to maker lucerne pellets, one requires a complete alfalfa pellet production line. This production line is a prime example of a forage processing system, designed primarily to transform raw forage into high-density pellet feed that is easy to store and transport. The production process typically involves the following eight key stages.

Precleaning Process
First, break apart the lucerne bales and cut them into small sections. Then, use an iron remover and a cleaning screen to remove impurities (such as stones, metal, etc.) from the forage.

Crushing Process
Use a forage crusher to pulverize long grass into a powder, with the particle size typically controlled to within 3 mm.

Drying Process (Optional)
If the raw materials have an excessively high moisture content, they must first be dried to reduce the moisture level to approximately 12–15% before proceeding with pelleting.

Mixing Process
In accordance with the formula requirements, thoroughly mix the grass meal and fish meal with cornmeal, soybean meal, minerals, and other ingredients.
