Working principle of chicken feed pellet making machine
After understanding the structure of the chicken feed pellet machine, let’s take a look at how the machine works!
The main working principle of the machine is similar to that of the animal feed pellet machine. First of all, the crushed chicken feed raw materials enter into the conditioner through the feeder, and a certain amount of steam is passed into the conditioner, and the materials become mature in the container.
The cooked chicken feed then enters the pelletizing chamber and falls evenly on the ring die. The spindle drives the grinding disc to rotate, and the press roller continuously rolls through the feed layer to squeeze the chicken feed into the die hole. The material is finally extruded from the die hole in a cylindrical state and cut by the cutter to form a certain length of chicken feed pellets, which are discharged from the discharge port.

Feeder
The feeder is located directly above the chicken feed pellet machine. The material enters the pelletizer through the feeder. Conditioner

No, we do not sell any flat die pellet milling equipment.
There are two main types of feed pellet mills on the market: flat die pellet mills and ring die pellet mills.
What is a flat die pellet mill suitable for? If you’re just raising a few dozen chickens at home, a flat die pellet mill is sufficient. However, the output is low, generally only a few hundred kilograms per hour, and the quality of the pellets is generally mediocre. The equipment is also not very durable.
What is a ring die mill suitable for? If you’re in the poultry business, regardless of your current size, we recommend you go for a ring die mill. Why?
Firstly, it has a wide output range, from 1 ton to 40 tons per hour. You can use a smaller one now and upgrade to a larger one as your business grows—it’ll always be sufficient. Secondly, it has high pelleting efficiency and good pellet quality, ensuring the chickens eat well and there’s no waste. Furthermore, the equipment is robust and durable, easily lasting 10-15 years under normal use. Although it’s slightly more expensive than a flat die mill initially, in the long run, the higher output, fewer malfunctions, and longer lifespan make it more cost-effective.
In short, if you’re serious about running a poultry business, choose a ring die mill.
Are the feed pellets hard? Can chicks eat them?

Chicks, growers, laying hens, and broilers can all have different pellet sizes and hardness.
