The production process of alfalfa pellet making line mainly includes: raw material preparation, crushing section, drying section, pelletizing section, cooling section and packing section.
(1) Preparation of raw materials
First, prepare sufficient raw materials. The preparation of raw materials is a prerequisite for making good alfalfa pellets. Before crushing the alfalfa grass, it is necessary to clean the alfalfa grass to avoid the impurities contained in the alfalfa grass from damaging the crushing equipment. If the size of alfalfa grass is too long, it is also necessary to use slicing equipment to cut the alfalfa grass first.
(2) Crushing section
After a simple treatment of alfalfa grass into the crusher for crushing, this step needs to crush alfalfa grass to 2-3mm chips. The alfalfa fuel pellets made in this way can be burned more fully and the quality of the pellets is higher! And if the size of alfalfa grass is too big, it will cause the pelletizer to clog and affect the production line pelletizing.
(3) Drying section
The crushed alfalfa grass enters into the dryer through the conveying equipment. After drying in the dryer, the moisture content of alfalfa grass reaches 15%, which is the most suitable moisture content for pelletizing. The moisture content of alfalfa grass is also a key factor affecting the quality of alfalfa pellets, the alfalfa grass is too dry or too wet will affect the pelletizing effect, or even can’t pelletize, so it is crucial to strictly control the moisture content of alfalfa grass at about 15% before pelletizing.
(4) Pelletizing section
After the moisture and size of alfalfa grass are processed to a suitable range, it is conveyed into the lucerne pellet machine for pelletizing. The material enters the pelletizer from a stainless steel feeder with anti-caking bins and is pelletized into solid alfalfa pellets that are extruded through the die holes by the ring die and pressure rollers. The size of the alfalfa pellets can be controlled by changing the ring die and adjusting the cutter equipment.
(5) cooling section
The alfalfa pellets coming out of the pellet mill have a lot of moisture and heat and cannot be sealed and bagged immediately. At this time, according to the environment to cool down the alfalfa pellets, if you are surrounded by pelletizing environment is relatively dry, you can choose to dry indoors and outdoors. However, if your production is large and the pelleting environment is humid, we recommend you to use a cooling machine to cool the pellets, which is the choice of most of our customers.
